Heavenly Heifers in our Future

Our hope is for the Bridge for Peace Children's Village in Kasese, Uganda to be self-sustaining and that means heifers! A heifer is a young cow over one year old that has not produced a calf. When it reproduces the people celebrate! We're thinking cows for milk, manure for fertilizer. That's why we sought out Beatrice. Beatrice works with an organization that has the know-how in supplying and caring for animals worldwide. Ed's friend of ten years connected us with her. (God was putting it all into place even then.)

A phone call told us Beatrice was from Uganda. Beatrice was from Kasese! Beatrice is Fr. Peter's cousin! (See more about Fr. Peter's participation in B4P on www.bridgeforpeace.org) Conversation during our NYC meeting spanned two continents as we discovered we have many people and places in common. Ed and I are very familiar with Beatrice's village. "The circle with a lot of people and motorcycles on the dirt road to Kasese." Our meeting with Beatrice fueled our determination as we see God, Who birthed this plan of a children's home, bringing it to pass.

God shows us how to feed the hungry! Milk for the many! Heavenly heifers!
