BfP on the Road to Kasese

Our Ugandan caravan shifted into high gear and team spirit soared. Months of preparation preceded this procession and we were eager to reach Kasese. From the vehicles' windows we see termite mounds and smoking piles of homemade mud bricks in the process of hardening through fire. Women haul wood on their heads for outdoor cooking. Donkeys bear big bunches of green bananas called hands. Bicycles loaded with sugar cane weave through traffic, while a motorcycle taxi roars past carrying three adults and a child. A pickup truck packed with men creates a swirling cloud of brown dust from the dirt road and we roll up our windows. Our walkie talkie crackles. Someone on team in the van behind us reads a scripture over the two-way radio, another prays out what is in their heart, and it's another's glory trip! Learning new African praise songs is a great part of our road experience. Oh, my God is able. We sing the chorus praying for God's blessing on all we see on the road to Kasese.
