Welcome

Augustine pulled off the road announcing, "We've reached Kasese!" My heart jumped at the sight of familiar faces lined up to greet us.  I jumped out of the car calling their names.  Bridge for Peace Uganda team gave hugs all around, presented us with flowers, sang jubilant songs, and touched us all with their welcome. We clapped and danced together.  I looked at the Australian team members who were first-timers in Uganda.  They wore expressions of bewildered-joy.  The extraordinary greetings of these precious brothers and sisters in Christ overwhelm.  They extend themselves whole-heartedly to welcome the stranger.  God knit the African/Australian/American BfP team together as one in that moment of extraordinary hospitality.
