Full of Blessings
Guitarists strummed, the drummer got us moving, and the team smiled at each other as the worship band geared up. We knew what was coming...the Blessing Song! The sense of the song is our hands are full of blessings and we just have to pour out the fullness on someone. There comes a point in the Portuguese song when everyone blesses as many people as they can touch, moving rapidly through the crowd, laying a hand on someone's shoulders or giving a quick hug. As the team stepped out to bless, people bowed their heads, pointing to the crown of their heads for a touch. Hair streaked with silver pulled into braids, luxurious black hair, wavy short cuts on men, fuzzy heads of infants, hundreds of heads! Each so different. And God knows every hair on each one. Created every hair! God is full of blessings. I bow my head in reverence, He touches me again.
