Under His Wing
The Inside mission team (those from many continents praying for the mission from their homes and Bridge for Peace prayer groups) sent us scriptures containing references to wings. One intercessor had a vision of angels holding back troubles with their huge wings. They ushered us through various circumstances with the wind from their big wings. Psalm 91 tells us safety is found under the shadow of His Wing.
We travelled a back country road. Far off mountains edged the horizon and puffed up white clouds floated in a turquoise sky. No one was on the road to appreciate the sight, but two carloads of B4P missionaries. After awhile, we found ourselves behind a huge truck carrying a single windmill blade that was at least 100 feet long! The walkie-talkie crackled, "It looks like a wing!" Excitement surged through the team.
The wing overshadowed us as we trailed it for miles, its sleek beauty gleaming in the sun, the end curved upward like a wingtip. We marvelled at the graceful shape and the enormity of the wing, but it was only a small reminder from God. The real thing is beyond human vision and imagination, but if we could see God's astonishing beauty, His magnificence, how would that influence our day?
