It's
normal when driving to assess the timing of a manoeuvre, such as changing
lanes, by looking in your rear view mirror.
What's normal in the natural world can be disastrous in the spiritual
realm. Don't judge the timing of your
move by what's behind you, judge it by what God says. Hebrews 4:12 says the Word is a discerner of
the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The Word is a mirror that shows us who we are. The Word mirrors to me who I am in Christ, my
righteousness or need of repentance and restoration. If you need to repent, do it
enthusiastically, grace awaits. Look
into the "Mirror" and see your righteousness through Christ. Check God's mirror first, the Word, then make
your move!
