Unleavened Giving

A curiosity.  Both Abraham (Genesis 18) and Gideon (Judges 6) offered God unleavened bread.
Unleavened bread is a quick bread - ingredients mixed together, poured in a pan, popped in the oven. Within the hour the aroma fills the kitchen and the crusty loaf is on the table. In contrast, yeast bread takes hours to prepare.  The dough rises, is punched down, and kneaded again. Sometimes the yeast bread baker waits for a second rising!
My conclusion - determine what The Lord asks and respond swiftly.

Unleavened giving - a quick response in bringing an offering to The Lord. Safety lies in instantaneous obedience.  Wise Abraham and Gideon hurried to offer unleavened bread.  Imagine what might happen if we wait to give?
