Corn Makes Me Sing

I never had much to do with corn besides eating it!  The few stalks planted in my garden were for fun. But now I know what it is to hope for beneficial rain, beaming sunshine, and pleasant days for harvest.  I couldn't wait to run into the storage shed we have been given free use of in Kasese, Uganda and see our B4P corn!  I sang and shouted for joy at the sight of dried kernels in striped poly sacks!  Now I know why the psalmist wrote Psalms 65:13 "...the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing." BfP Uganda picked it,  packed it and rented a truck to ship it down to Kasese. They dried it and sacked it.  Soon we will grind it and sell it to schools who will use it for children's porridge.  We hope to build a harvest shelter very soon for $1,000 American.  If we construct a harvest shelter in Rugendabara where the corn is grown, it can be dried and removed from the cob before shipping down to Kasese.  It will be much lighter, a considerable savings.  All contributions for the Agricultural Project for B4P Children's Villages will help us reach our goal of sustainability.  Join me in a thanksgiving shout to The Lord for His bountiful provision.
