The Franklin Square disciples' faith energized me as I taught the scriptural Foundation for Healing in the Name of Jesus! We knew many people who signed-up for the workshop from Nassau and Suffolk counties. Their love and encouragement have kept us moving forward for years and we are grateful for them. There were others whom we had never met, but felt a kinship in the Spirit. Everyone's eagerness to learn and to serve blessed me.
In the afternoon, Bridge for Peace team broke into small groups and led prayer for the needs of those in the circle, while those who had come to the workshop interceded and observed. The acoustics in the room muddled the voices of those who gave testimonies, but I saw one lady vigorously flexing her fingers with a broad grin on her face and I guessed at her story. Later, I heard she had experienced healing from arthritic hands and had said, "I'm going home to open some jars!" As faith-filled followers of Jesus Christ seek to serve by praying in His Name according to His Word the world sees a demonstration of God's power. I pray all who attended the Bridge for Peace workshop will continue to tell the Good News by showing the world through healing prayer that Jesus Christ is our Bridge for Peace!
