Let’s Get Going

Bridge for Peace sponsored Rennet in Uganda and she graduated nursing school two years ago. Peter is now studying to become a nurse in Uganda through our Bridge for Peace scholarship. I'm amazed at what God does through a small organization with big faith! Ed and I have just met with Cynthia, a retired nurse who served with Raffael ministries in Zambia alongside our own Sylvester, head of Bridge for Peace Africa. (The collaboration of Raffael ministries and Bridge for Peace bore holy fruit – read more about that in our newsletter posted on www.bridgeforpeace.org.) Cynthia wants to sponsor two of Sylvester's children to become nurses. "Two more nurses," I thought. "And we've been struggling to put one through." This sponsorship will essentially triple our vision overnight. Medical care in their area of Africa is very limited, a nurse there is like a doctor.

We spoke with Cynthia about her intentions and she said, "LET'S GET GOING!" A woman of initiative, heart, and timing! What a great example for us! Friends, begin with what you have and let God do the multiplication. Don't forget to count on God's supernatural power when you are doing the math. Act on the dream God's put in your heart.
