How do we get there?

We found the best way to navigate Malta is to know the next city you have to pass through to reach your destination. Sounds simple, but cities have names like Ghaxaq, Mtarfa, Siggiewi, Xghajra, Zejtun, etc. Before we left the conference, we sought advice to get out of the neighborhood (lots of one way streets) and for the general direction of the airport. Three helpful people sent us in three different directions. No matter, we got on the road at 5a.m. to miss rush hour and give us ample time.
To reach the airport we had to pass Mdina and then on to Luqa, but those cities weren't listed among the choices. We drove into the round-about (or traffic circle) and long lists of names appeared at every turn-off like Bugibba, Gzira, and Marsaxlokk. Add the challenge of predawn and no interior car light into the mix and you understand why once around the traffic circle is never enough. I dropped down the glove compartment (or glove box) door and by that light tried to read the map, "X g, x g, I know I saw a city with an x g on here," I said to Ed as we went around again. Of course, we could miss the plane, that hung in the balance.
We pulled over to ask, "Which way?" Everyone tried to help, but often we only became more confused. I thought confusion, uncertainty, and lack of direction is life is for some people.
Life for some folks is a roundabout, they can't get out of a circular pattern. There are several turnoffs but they don't know which one to take. When they ask for direction, they get contradictory information and become more confused. Ultimately, they could miss their crucial appointment with Christ. Let's be clear to help people. The Way to Life is Jesus Christ.
Ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and show the Way. Let us not make it difficult or confusing, but simply share the Gospel - Jesus Christ loves everyone, died to save us, rose from the dead and broke chains of eternal death in hell, sat down on His throne in heaven, and sent us the Holy Spirit to teach us. He waits for us to accept His offer of eternal life and to promise to serve Him. Ask Jesus to give you the Holy Spirit, the Counselor, the Teacher. That's the first steps of the journey. Start there and the Holy Spirit will show the right direction at every turn off. If on the journey you hit a confusing patch, remember His Word is a light to your path. The Bible is our guide, the Holy Spirit speaks and instructs us through the Bible.
See you at the final destination!
