Paul said, "...we found out the island was called Malta. The islanders showed us unusual kindness . " (Acts 28:2) Nearly two thousand years later, Ed and I experienced the same warmth from the people of Malta. Reflecting on our recent ministry visit, we remember how the Christians greeted us with the traditional two kisses and welcomed us generously. Kindness is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5). Because Paul preached Jesus Christ the natural gift has become a supernatural manifestation of spiritual fruit. I treasure the gift of kindness, a rare trait that is all the more precious for its scarcity.
