Mystery Solved

He slipped into the seat next to Ed during conference announcements.  I knew his face, his style of dress - button down collar, v neck sweater, casual suit jacket - the twenty four year old met my eyes with a smile in his, but he was from Malta, I couldn't possibly know him.  I turned my attention back to the platform while he spoke softly to Ed. I heard excitement in Ed 's replies and knew Ed had recognized him.  How do we know him?
They shook hands, then hugged.  The young man smiled and nodded at me, vacating the seat.  At an appropriate moment Ed told me, "He came over to thank us.  We met him in Australia four years ago when he was assisting Dr. John and we prayed with him.  He was on the verge of making a major decision due to relational problems. He said our prayers caused him to reverse course and the "problem" has become his best friend!"
Life holds uncertainties, mysteries, but God knows the answer.  When we seek The Holy Spirit praying for direction when life is a mystery, He sends answers in many different ways.  In this instance he sent a young man from Malta to Australia to meet Americans who prayed for him.  This young man walked by faith and not by sight and found God rewards the humble.
