A doctor (planning to go on Zambia medical mission) was having
medical problems (the night before departure) she was in the ER being tested for a severe
infection. Her statement that bothered me was that she said it must not be
God's plan that she come. I know God did not give her this problem because He
does not use disease which is part of the curse and not the blessing
that
is ours in Christ, to direct us or teach us.
So it was obviously an attempt by the devil to prevent this woman from
coming. So instead of just letting this
go and allowing things to just be, I decided to fight back. I called her and despite getting her voice
mail I started using my authority in Jesus to release healing into her body and
bind the demonic forces working against her.
I then texted her more prayer and words of encouragement. My next step was
to get people to agree in prayer with me so I contacted Bridge for Peace in
Wading River with this urgent prayer request.
They in turn got the message out worldwide and had the Bridge for Peace
team in Australia begin praying. Within
a short time I received a text saying that pain was decreasing and fever was
leaving. She was beginning to receive
the manifestation of the healing that already occurred when we prayed. By the
next morning, the day of departure, she was improved but still concerned about the
pain and other things, such as fluid draining from the site of her
infection. We prayed some more
including that she would hear clearly from God whether or not she should go on
the mission. Praise God. Within a few hours she told me that she was going!
Hallelujah. And just to show how much
God loves us and her, when she got to the airport she was upgraded to business
class where she would be more comfortable as she continued to receive her full
healing. Isn't God great? Thanks to all who have been praying and
please continue to pray for our team as we glorify God and see the power of the
Holy Spirit manifest in the lives we touch. On the plane to London and will let
you know more as we continue on our mission.
